The hope that Bryce Santry's dream will one day become reality remains alive and well in the hearts and minds of all those who have been fortunate enough to ride these rails, as it does in those who can only hope they'll live long enough to see this amazing place for themselves. 

 

Scenic train excursions are not only possible, but have proven to be very popular. Carrizo Gorge is a unique attraction that with a train could bring in thousands of tourists annually to boost both Jacumba's and East San Diego County's economies. Interest and support continues to grow, as does the hope of excursion trains one day returning to this spectacular stretch of railroad.
